Trail Description
PR 6.6 Vereda do Tunel do Cavalo connects the Caldeira leisure area with Casa do Rabacal through forest paths and the historic Tunel do Cavalo. This wet, dark water-gallery tunnel, also known as Furado Novo, was built to carry water from the Rabacal and 25 Fontes area toward Calheta. The route adds a distinctive heritage and adventure element to the Rabacal trail network. A headlamp, waterproof footwear and confidence in tunnels are strongly recommended.
