Vereda da Palha Carga

PR 13.1 Vereda da Palha Carga starts near Louro da Gota on ER209 and links the Fanal area with routes toward Rabacal and 25 Fontes. The path passes high-altitude heath, endemic vegetation and natural viewpoints over the Rabacal valley and Ribeira da Janela. It is named for the Palha-carga grass found in the area and serves as a practical, scenic connector into western Madeira's levada and waterfall network. Expect steps, changing vegetation and wide green valley views.
